How is it easier to believe that the Big Bang started the universe instead of God?
Hello Frank,
Thank you for your question and for checking out my website. Let’s work through this question bit my bit.
First, you use the word ‘easier’ in your question. There is an implication that if something is ‘easier’ then it must be true or right. However, whether something is easy to believe or not easy to believe has nothing to do with whether that something is true or false. In addition, whether something is considered easy is very subjective. For example, some would argue that it is easier to cook a meal than to clean up the mess afterwards, and others would argue the opposite. Comparing the Big Bang and the concept of god by the invalid term ‘easy’ will not yield any results. It is up to the person who views both arguments with credible evidence to accept something or not accept something. Whether it is easy to accept is up to them. Therefore, I will disregard the ‘easier’ term used in your question and go straight to the Big Bang and the concept of god.
What does believing in a god entail? A god is considered a supernatural being who is everywhere at once, can read all human beings’ thoughts, can affect the material world and live in a spiritual world at the same time, and has made all matter and energy. This god cannot be seen or heard and yet lived for ever and will continue to live forever. These claims are very high and no scientific inquiry has been able to come up with any evidence or proof of the slightest towards this concept of a god.
The Big Bang is a current explanation of how this universe originated. There is more and more evidence for the Big Bang and scientists continue to build on that evidence as time goes on. The scientific proof is present and real for the Big Bang, but there is none for the concept of god. Whether it is easier or not, a person must accept that the Big Bang is the best and most valid idea of how this universe came about.
Please feel free to check out this video and this website. One is a general idea of the Big Bang and the other goes into further detail. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick respounce. However I was wondering in which areas do you find evidence and where do you think god is lacking evidence?
Okay never mind my second question. I understand what you’re saying now.
I’m glad things are a bit clearer. Did you have other questions? Please try this website, which I think does a good job of breaking down all the arguments used to try and ‘prove’ the existence of a god. Don’t be put off by the title. The writer is very objective and analytical. You’ll probably get a lot out of this site. Thanks for continuing to comment and I’m more than willing to answer more questions you have.

Hello. I am wondering, what is right? What is wrong? what is it all defined by?
Hello Joetheanonymous,
Thank you for your comment. I struggled with this as well when I first started questioning religion. First, I discovered that things are not as black and white as they seem to be. Second, morality is something that we have developed over time.Christopher Hitchens does a good job talking about this in this video. Feel free to watch. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b6DW0e70DF0
